Whether your console table has solid doors or glass doors it just looks and feels better to have it organized. Sure, it’s easy just to throw it all in the drawers or cabinet and close the door but isn’t it a great feeling when it’s organized?! So, today I am giving you a few console table organizing ideas.
Our console table has glass inserts on the cabinet doors. I love the look except when my husband puts his Battery Daddy in there. All joking aside, a person can only organize so much when you have multiple shelves and glass cabinet doors. It can be equally difficult when you have kitchen cabinets with glass inserts. No hiding anything in there! Lol!

Baskets
It is no secret that I have a love of baskets! There are so many to choose from, styles and sizes. I finally got tired of sitting on our couch in our family room and seeing the contents of our console table. So, I found some baskets that fit perfectly on the shelves in the cabinet of our console table.
I love a clean & tidy space. You can even go as far as buying smaller clear containers if you have smaller items that you will be placing in your baskets, so it doesn’t become a “catchall”. The idea of the baskets is not to give us permission to create more clutter but just to be able to organize and it better! If you need organizing tips I did a post a while back, My Top 5 Home Organizing Tips. You can read that here.
Cord Organization
How can electrical cords create such havoc? Granted, in most cases, we don’t end up seeing them but, in my case, you could. And I am guessing that a lot of you might be fighting the same issue! Our console table has an open shelf so you can see the lamp cord hanging down. Most people may not notice it, but it drives me crazy!
There are a lot of cord organization options out there, but I found a great one that has worked well. It has an adhesive backing that I was able to stick to the back of our console table. It has a place where I can wrap the excess cord and a place to clip it to stay in place. I bought them from Amazon, and they come in a pack of 4, I have them linked here if you want to check them out!
Bottom Shelve
I don’t know about you, but I am not a knick-knack kind of person. The less I have to move and dust when cleaning the better! Lol. If you have an open shelf on your console table, you have a few options. You could place baskets there also, leave it empty, or put a decoration or two there. I usually end up putting a simple décor item on the bottom shelf because I think placing more baskets would just be too many baskets! You know, too much of a good thing!
So, what are your thoughts? Does the cord thing bother you? Or do you not even notice them? Please share your thoughts and ideas with us below in the comments!
