Do you have a motto that you live by? Either one that you have heard from someone or from somewhere and it really spoke to you, and you adopted it? I do! And today I am sharing the secret behind my personal motto: Shine from the inside out.
I have had my motto for awhile now, shine from the inside out. It has a layered meaning to me. I believe if we feel good about ourselves on the inside it will shine on the outside. You are beautiful no matter what if you are sharing good things with other people.
My motto stems from my mom and what she taught to my sisters and I. She was such a positive person, and I don’t think she ever met a stranger. My mom taught us to always “dress for the day”, if you felt good about how you presented yourself it would give you an overall good feeling. She never gave us the impression that the way we “looked” was the most important thing it was more about taking care of yourself and having pride in yourself. Positive inside, positive outside. I think that is where my motto comes from, shine from the inside out. My mom shined wherever she went!
