Most people that are originally from the south have a lot of different terms they use. One term that is used frequently is, y’all. I find myself not knowing if I am “allowed” to use the term yet.
Up north we usually just said, “you guys” or “you all”. The longer that I live in the south the more I am finding myself naturally wanting to say, y’all, but I feel guilty like I shouldn’t use it. I’m slowly incorporating it into my life, I have a yard flag with “welcome y’all”. Do any of my southern friends have an opinion on the subject?
